On November 10, 2024 a Gold Star dedication ceremony was staged at the main entrance at Crawford Blvd. Approximately 100 people were in attendance, including the families of servicemen honored at the event.  Retired Rear Admiral Kenneth Barausky revealed the memorial after dedications by CCA President Anna O'Kelly.  Thanks to the Crofton Village Garden Club and the Crofton Greenery Garden Club, Crofton has a new permanent fixture at the main entrance.

October 25, 2024, Croftoberfest- The 60th Anniversary of Crofton was celebrated with "Croftoberfest" at the Crofton Country Club.

10-19-24, Crofton Chili Cook Off.  The Crofton Chili Cook-Off was hosted by the Crofton Kiwanis, the Crofton Civic Association, and the Crofton Farmers' Market. A panel of judges selected one chili entry as the Crofton Chili Cook-Off Champion and there were special prizes for the Hottest Chili, and the People's Choice.  Tasters paid for their samples.  All proceeds funded the Crofton Christian Caring Council's Food & Baby Pantry.

10-5-24, 9th Annual Crofton Dog Show, & Higgins Pet Fair, Crofton Country Club.

9-15-24, CCA Annual Ice Cream Social at Town Hall.  There was a bounce house, face painting, balloon twisting, live music by Dust on the Bottle, and lots of ice cream.

June 1st, 2024, Summerfest at the Crofton Country Club.  This Crofton 60th Anniversary event included performances by the Crofton High School Music Department, School of Rock, Priddy Music Academy, Dust on the Bottle, Here's to the Night, Honey Sol, and Brendan Lane and the Sugar Packets.

The Crofton Village Garden Club sponsored a flower show in honor of Crofton's 60th Anniversary on May 21st, 2024 at the Crofton Library.  There were over 200 floral and horticultural displays.

In December 2022, the County Forestry Board completed the planting of over 1,600 native trees and shrubs on approximately four acres of the area formerly known as the “Enclave” property that the community purchased in 2021, ensuring that this land will be forever protected from development.  

CCA Holiday Tree Lighting 2024 at the Crofton Country Club.  Santa arrived by Firetruck and Crofton Police Department escort.  The tree was lit and visitors enjoyed photos with Santa, cookies, hot chocolate, and make and take Christmas crafts.  Christmas music provided by Pocket Change.

October 25, 2024 - Crofton Kiwanis Halloween Parade & Party.  To celebrate Halloween, Hundreds of costumed families marched from the Crofton Country Club to Crofton Town Hall.  They were joined by the Crofton Police, the Anne Arundel Volunteer Fire Department, local boy scout and girl scout troops, the Crofton High School Band & Color Guard, Crofton Cheerleaders, antique cars, and many local businesses.

10-19-24, The Crofton Police Department held their 2nd annual Trunk-or-Treat event at the Crofton Village Green.  Over 35 local businesses participated.  There was lots of spooky fun had with  food,  prize and candy giveaways!

10-8-24, A Taste of Crofton, a Crofton 60th Anniversary Event at the Crofton Country Club.  Local Crofton restaurants provided samples of their menus.

9-15-24, Crofton 60th Anniversary Teen Skate Night at Skate Zone, Crofton.  Attendees enjoyed pizza, refreshments, arcade credits, and skating at this teen only event.

July 13th, 2024, Kidz Fest, a Crofton 60th Anniversary event, Crofton Village Green.  Our Kidz Fest event included Touch-a-Truck, a Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest, a Cake Walk, a Bike Rodeo, an Archery contests, Face Painting, a Bounce House and more!

The Crofton 60th Anniversary Golf Outing was held at the Crofton Country Club on May 20th, 2024.

On December 22, 2023, Brothers Tim and Matt Hutchison, along with good friends and celebrated area musicians Aimee Hutchinson, Tim Paesch, Greaton Sellers and Brandt Dunn teamed together  as The Ghosts of Christmas Crofton to bring the sounds of Christmas to the community!  They performed holiday favorites around the Parkway and along Urby drive on a parade float.

The 4th Annual Crofton Pride Parade took place on June 17th, 2023 along Crofton Parkway, with a resource Fair at the parking lot of Crofton Elementary School.

June 3, 2023, The First Annual CHS Graduation Parade.  Crofton Parkway flooded with graduates and their supporters celebrating the inaugural graduating class of Crofton High School.

CCA's 2nd Annual Cherry Blossom Festival, April 8, 2023.  Thanks to all our vendors and all the residents for joining us.  

On November 4, 2022, County Executive Steuart Pittman, along with forestry division representatives from the Department of Inspections and Permits, joined members of the CCA Board of Directors and Town Manager Martin H. Simon in a ceremonial tree planting at Crofton’s “front yard”.

Greater Crofton Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Ceremony 10-19-22. 

CCA Town Manager Martin Simon presents Citizen of the Year Award to resident Renee Speer.  Chief Earl Fox presents Police Officer of the Year Award to Cpl. Jason Jett and promotes him to Sergeant.

The Crofton Flags for Heroes display will be up through November 19th along Route 3 near the Crofton main entrance. For the first time, there are 100 flags on display, most with dedications from family or friends for veterans, service men and women, and first responders. 11-2022.

8th Annual Chili Cookoff  10-19-22

Eight competitors participated in the 8th Annual Crofton Chili Cook-off at the Crofton Farmers Market. The event was hosted by Stroll Crofton Triangle (its last official program) and the Crofton Kiwanis Club, and it was for the benefit of the Crofton Christian Caring Council’s (CCCC) Food Pantry. $830 was raised for the pantry.
